Grandpa's Awsome Go-Carts!

Today Grandpa invited us to go to the Salt Flats and play on the go carts. The weather was perfect, not to hot and not too cold. Its really the best place, there were no trees or anything the kids could crash into, just wide open space. The kids loved them, I never knew I had such a dare devil daughter. Alivia jumped on and was off. I think she only was off that cart for about 15 min. and forced to eat lunch. Kate also was hard to get off she loved to be any ones co-pilot. Porter was in heaven anything that is close to be a car or bike he thinks is so awesome. I think we did pretty good no accidents. Well Brooke thought she could stand on the back of one, but off she went. Luckily she only has a couple scrapes. JC is in Idaho I wish he could have seen the kids. I just hope next time he can join us. The ride home the car was silent once they hit their seats they were out. Alivia did tell me her foot was sooooo tired from pushing the gas. The kids are already asking for when we can go again. Thanks Gramps!

Nana's Fun!

Nana always has such fun little crafts she does with all the grand kids. She invited all of us to come over and make Forever Sandcastles. The kids thought it was so much fun. Nana your the best thanks for being such a fun grandma....

Dance Life Summer Review!

We are so excited that it finally came time for the girls to have their first performance in dance. They couldn't wait. The night before we had the rehearsal so mom got a sneak peek. Aunt Jenny came over before and we did the girls hair and got them in their costumes. Jenny was so sweet she made them all flower bows and did glitter toes. They looked so cute.






























They did such a good job. They got to show off all there dance moves for all their cousins, Nana, Grandpa, Mom, Dad and Porter. At the end they both received trophy's which they thought was soooo cool. I hope they continue to love dance. There is nothing more exciting then watching my sweet princesses dance.

Sooo Much Fun!

Yet again life has had us going and going.... So much has happend Alivia is now graduated kindergarten. It was so adorable. She was so excited, Nana, Grandpa, Mia, Marli, Justine, Jagger and Brock came to watch. Oh and of course Mom, Dad, Kate and Porter were there to cheer her on.

It still is so crazy to think my little Liv is n0w off to first grade and will be going all day long. I am going to miss her. She is so grown up and loves to learn I am so proud of her and so blessed to have her in our lives.

Really? I can't believe its been so long. I guess sometimes life just seems to get so busy. Since I last blogged so much has happened. Well, I now experience joys of being a mom of child attending school. Things seem to be just that much more crazy. When Aivia started school things were at a good steady pace, but the last couple months have really started to give me a taste for next year. There always seems to be some activity or parent participation. That and the required thirty hours each family volunteers each year. Although its been busy I love seeing Alivia thrive. She has grown up so much since the first day of school. Excelling in her class, reading and doing spelling tests. Things I don't remember doing in kindergarten. I can't wait to see Kate experience school. Next week is her Kindergarten Round-up, I think I am more nervous than her. She is so excited to go to school like Alivia, telling me all the time she needs to practice her letters.



Porter is growing so much, no longer a baby. He talks all the time, he pretty much can say any word you ask him to.



JC is traveling allot. This time he will be going two weeks in a row. I know its hard on him, just like it is here.





The girls have started a dance class, and loving every moment. They get to share it with their cousin Devree. In June they will be having a recital, where they can show off all they have learned. I can't wait, little dancers are just the cutest.

St. Patrick's Day arrived and turned out to give us a taste of spring. The day was nice and warm little breezy but all in all beautiful. We started out the morning with having green milk and green pancakes. The kids were not too sure of it at first, but once they realized that it tasted all the same they dug in. We had to take advantage and go to the park. Joined us was Nana, Tara, Mike, Violet, Marli, Daphne and Brock. Porter thought it was to coolest thing. He now is old enough where he climbs the stairs and heads down the slide. Totally fearless thou, which scares me. He would go down head first, on his tummy and spinning all the way around all the way down. The girls got all their wiggles out and by the time we got home the kids were pooped and went to bed with out a fight.

The kids were so thrilled when we were invited to go horseback riding with Uncle George and Kenny. They were shown around the farm enjoying the ponies, cows, horses and six dogs that ran around their feet. We went on back to the indoor stable to ride the horses. Kenny was kind enough to give the girls a ride. Alivia loved it and jumped up to get on first. Kate was excited too and enjoyed it. Next we thought Porter would do better with daddy on the horse with him. Ahhh.... well lets just say he liked it better not on the horse. He talked all about the horse until we put him on. Once he got on he cried. We got him down and asked him if he wanted to try again and he told us very bluntly (NO). Even I joined in and rode the horse. The day was busy from the second we woke up, but we are so happy we were invited.

Easter crept right up on us. We spent the night before dying our eggs. The girls did so great choosing their colors and placing stickers. Porter well he enjoyed himself too spilling the green dye all over him. staining his belly for a few days. The next morning the Easter bunny had come with candy and eggs hid throughout the family room. Alivia and Kate ran to gab as many as they could. Porter pretty much got one candy ate it then went on to the next. We then met up at Nana and Papa's for the Easter egg hunt, and Easter dinner. It was so nice to see all the family enjoy the day. We then headed off to aunt Heathers, we had so much fun. Of course our holidays are filled with traveling from one house to another, and at times seems so overwhelming. But all in all we are very fortunate to be able to enjoy our holidays with both sides of the family.

This year is coming with a few hurdles. Porter recently had to be sedated for a cavity on his teeth. It went real well, he was quite cranky for a few days, but I can't complain. He is quite the little stud.

Kate will need to have surgery on her tummy she has a small hernia to have fixed. Porter also will need to have one too just not for the same thing. So we will have to get though this year. I hate that they have to go through any of this, but I know its what they need.

Our silly little Kate, she is our little goof of our family. Pulling silly faces and saying the funniest things. She is so fun I don't know what we would do with out her. She lightens up our day.

Boys are so funny how they just know how to be tough! Here is a picture of Porter building shelves with his grandpa. He has a bolt trying to hit it through the wood. He ran around all day wanting to be just like his papa. I love my little guy!

I always thought when your kids started school you would have a little more time. No one ever told me that life gets just ten times as busy. It feels like I am at Livi's school as much as she is. Since she is going to a charter school all parents must volunteer 30 hours. Its really not that much, but its already scaring me how to get them all done by the end of the year. It really is a great thing to have, all parents are so much more involved with their kids school. I think all schools should do it. I love dropping off Alivia. She is so adorable with all her school friends. She talks al ot about her friend Vanessa (the one with a boyfriend and they kiss on the cheek). All she does when she gets home is play school with Kate and Porter. She talks sooo cute to them, you can tell she just loves her teacher.
Kate is a little confused why Liv gets to go while she has to come home with me. I really enjoy the time we have just her and I. We have started a pre-school activity book, she really loves it. Kate and Porter play really good together, no one can make Porter laugh as easy as she can. Her some silly faces she makes he just loves it. Kate is so fun she is really laid back.
Porter is just getting to act so much older. He now can say Bye Bye, Mama, Dadda, Ba Bob (for Sponge Bob) and Uck (for Truck). He will talk forever in baby jabbering (mommy loves). Having a boy is so much fun. They just grow way to fast. We did have to take him to the ER (our first visit for any of our kids), he caught the stomach flu and was throwing up non stop. They gave him medication to stop it and it worked. The very next day Kate and Livi joined in the fun. I was up all night the night before with Porter at the hospital. Now I spent the next one holding two buckets. Parenting can be so exhausting. To top it off it was right at the time JC had to head to Idaho. Yikes!
My poor sweet husband just works and works, his hours are long. We miss him so much. He travels every other week to Idaho. I wish life would give him a break. We appreciated him so much, working so hard to take care of our family. We love you!
We are now heading into the fall and the kids are getting so excited for Halloween. I am ready for a little bit cooler air, and the family holidays coming. I hope that life will calm down now and we can all get settled with life has thrown us. Drama is not always something we want in our life's, but I hope my family knows that I will be there for them. Life is crazy and when things are rough we need the love and support of our family.
